Job Summary
Provide direct clinical supervision to activity specialist and substance abuse counselor; design and oversight of group counseling program; ensure monthly DHS group statistics are compiled and submitted for review; provide group-based clinical services to address mental health issues; oversee and conduct multiple groups daily to increase client stability, treatment stability and housing readiness; conduct therapeutic and psychoeducational groups covering stress management, anger management, conflict resolution, decision-making, impulse control, suicide and self-harm prevention and support, medication compliance and living with chronic mental illness; provide individual follow-up as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, art therapy or a related field required
- Excellent interpersonal, managerial and supervisory skills
- Experience working with MICA clients in both individual and group modalities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, computer and typing skills
- Vaccination preferred but not required
