Job Summary
Therapist assesses and facilitates care for assigned patients and participates in treatment and continuing care planning. Provides individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy; conducts assessments, coordinates discharge planning, documents activities in medical records, and participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. May provide on-call services and assist with program development and performance improvement. Requires a Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field and state licensure eligibility; CPR & First Aid and CPI certification; valid driver’s license; and typically two years of behavioral health experience. Focus areas include trauma, chemical dependency, eating disorders, EMDR, family therapy, and other specialty services; commitment to safety, diversity, and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
- State licensed. If individual has a doctorate in Psychology they may function as a Therapist but must apply for a license as a Psychologist upon hire, keeping HR informed of progress.
- CPR & First Aid Certified.
- CPI Certified.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Driver Safety Training
- Minimum of two years experience in behavioral health field preferred.
