Job Summary
Therapist role within Banyan Treatment Centers' behavioral health and substance use programs focusing on comprehensive clinical assessment, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based individual, group, and family therapies. Responsibilities include ASAM-based assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination across multidisciplinary teams, family engagement, documentation in accordance with licensure and accreditation standards, and preparing patients for post-discharge recovery. Requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and active state clinical licensure, with experience in residential/inpatient/detox settings and proficiency in EMR systems (Kipu preferred). The position is on-site in Milford, DE, with scheduled hours Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu, 8 AM–4 PM, and compliance with ethical, privacy, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another related human services field that qualifies the individual to pursue professional clinical licensure
- Active clinical license in the applicable state (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience providing therapy in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings
- Experience working in residential, inpatient, or detoxification levels of care
- Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations
- Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and clinical documentation requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Kipu preferred)
