Job Summary
Provide specialty therapeutic services to adolescent males in a short-term residential program (individual, family, and group therapy) and other foster youth; perform crisis intervention and case management, develop assessments and treatment plans, and collaborate with the child and family team to implement outcome goals. Training will be provided in mental health service delivery and certification in evidence-based practices. Must hold a Master’s Degree in counseling and be licensed or pursuing licensure; bilingual skills are a plus. Requires a California driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle; strong communication in English (Spanish/English bilingualism preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with counseling experience
- Licensed as a Therapist or in the process of becoming licensed
- Experience working with youth and families
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics, family violence and family systems
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check
- Valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Counseling or equivalent
- Licensed Therapist (MFT, LCSW, PCC) or in process of licensure
- Experience working with youth and families
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics, family violence and family systems
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- California driver’s license with clean DMV history
- Clear background checks (physical exam, drug clearance, Child Abuse Index)
