Job Summary

Deliver direct clinical services to patients through individual, group, and family therapy sessions while applying psychotherapeutic techniques for diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders. Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop initial discharge plans, and create treatment plans based on patient needs, revising them as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of all therapy services and manage assigned caseloads in coordination with psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers. Participate in treatment team meetings to facilitate patient care and provide case management, discharge, or after-care planning as needed. Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude while prioritizing patient safety and resolving complaints when needs are not met.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Eligibility for licensure (LMSW, LCSWA, LPCA, LMFTA, etc.)
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment
  • One or more years' experience working with comparable patient population
  • Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligible for state licensure as a professional therapy provider
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
  • First aid

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in behavioral health, inpatient psychiatry, or crisis services
  • Familiarity with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other evidence-based practices
