Job Summary
Therapist responsible for providing substance use treatment and case management services for assigned patients in the Department of Corrections, Erie, PA. Responsibilities include utilizing trauma-informed, evidence-based practices; developing patient treatment plans with the treatment team; delivering direct therapeutic services (individual, group, and/or family therapy) tailored to patient needs; conducting ongoing assessments and updating treatment plans; completing clinical documentation accurately and timely; maintaining relationships with referral sources; planning for continuing care and making appropriate referrals; monitoring insurance authorizations; providing referrals for additional care; maintaining productivity of 50% consistently; engaging in regular supervision; complying with HIPAA and OMHSAS/DPW/DDAP regulations; completing required orientation and training; and providing coverage for other programs as needed. Knowledge and abilities include strong verbal and written communication, understanding of addiction, conducting thorough assessments, delivering individual/group therapy, analytical decision-making, personal stress management, and confidentiality. Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of health and human services experience, plus background checks, drug screen, TB test, CPR/First Aid certification; work in a Department of Corrections site with favorable working conditions and a commitment to equal opportunity.
