Job Summary
Engage youth in social, recreational, athletic, and artistic activities within homes and the community. Participate in provider team meetings and collaborate with families to support healthy functioning. Implement interventions for youth and caregivers, provide coaching for decision-making in crisis and non-crisis situations, and assist in treatment planning coordination. Offer transportation for service delivery and conduct member outreach to engage families. Attend care planning, school, and hospital discharge meetings while providing referrals to appropriate supports. Work Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday with evening availability and weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's or associate's degree from an accredited institution
- counseling or related field
- one year minimum experience working with children/families and adolescents
- experience in child development
- experience in childhood mental illness
- experience in family issues
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and providers
- High energy level
- superior interpersonal skills
- ability to function in a team atmosphere
- valid driver's license
- access to an operational and insured vehicle
- willingness to use vehicle to transport clients
- 21 years of age or older
- Evenings and at least one weekend day
