Job Summary
PRN Therapeutic Support Specialist in Crossroads Group Home provides compassionate care to adults with severe and persistent mental illness; engages residents in activities to reconnect to interests, teaches essential life skills (including cooking and cleaning, coping strategies, problem solving), supports outings, and assists with medication administration (training provided); offers flexible scheduling with shifts on weekdays, evenings, overnights, and weekends; comprehensive training and growth opportunities; competitive pay with shift differentials for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts; target candidates are flexible, adaptable, culturally humble caregivers who value relationships and resident wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (no college degree required)
- Heartsavers CPR Certification: Must obtain Heartsavers CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure: Complete licensure course and exam within the first 90 days
- Driver’s License: Valid Class E Missouri or Kansas license; able to operate 15-passenger van within 3 months
- Family Care Registry Clearance: Background check clearance
- Training: Complete all required training as outlined during orientation
- Be available to pick up shifts with two hours' notice more times than not
- Pick up a minimum of 24 hours of shifts each month
