Job Summary
Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) role providing one-on-one direct care to children with ID/mental health in home or community settings. Duties include daily living support, assisting to foster maximum independence, implementing the individual support plan, ensuring safety and well-being, guiding participation in activities, observing changes in behavior, documenting and reporting, administering medications after certification, maintaining records, and performing housekeeping/vehicle duties. Requires compassionate motivation to help others, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, and relevant education (Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s with 60 credit hours) with required experience (2 years with ID/mental health; or 4 years with 60 credits). Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (Official transcripts must be supplied)
- Two years experience working with children with ID or mental health
- OR Associates degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in a related field (Official transcripts must be supplied)
- Four years experience working with children with ID or mental health
