Job Summary
Therapeutic Staff Support provides direct, one-on-one care to children with intellectual disabilities or mental/behavioral health needs in home or community settings. Duties include preparing meals, administering medications after certification/training, providing transportation, and assisting with daily living to foster independence. The role supports development and implementation of an Individual Support Plan, ensures safety and well-being, facilitates activities, documents observations and changes in condition, maintains records, and performs housekeeping and vehicle tasks. Requires age 21+, valid driver’s license, a related bachelor’s (or associate) degree with required experience, and willingness to obtain necessary certifications; offers benefits and opportunities for career development. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (Official transcripts must be supplied)
- Two years experience working with children with ID or mental health
- Associates degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in a related field (Official transcripts must be supplied)
- Four years experience working with children with ID or mental health
