Job Summary
Therapeutic Specialist, Hepatology in Canada (BC & Saskatchewan): field-based role covering BC and Saskatchewan; build and execute strategic territory plans, engage healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders, drive launch uptake and portfolio growth in Hepatology, collaborate cross-functionally (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Education, System Solutions, Marketing), manage territory budgets, conduct scientific engagements and educational initiatives, ensure compliance with internal standards, and travel extensively within the territory to advance patient access and outcomes. Must have a life sciences-related bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in hepatology or product launches, strong scientific interpretation skills, excellent communication, and proven ability to build stakeholder networks; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Salary CAD 96,750 to 161,250 (convertible to USD per local economics). This role requires field engagement with healthcare professionals across BC and Saskatchewan and includes company-vehicle eligibility contingent on license verification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Hepatology or proven success launching products in competitive markets
- Strong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretation and functional data analysis techniques
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals, physicians, and hospital stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and maintain a network of healthcare stakeholders and access to physician networks
- Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills with exposure to cross-functional teams (medical, marketing, government affairs)
- Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and drive business growth
- Results-oriented with ability to proactively identify opportunities and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes
- High learning agility and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within a large geography while optimizing travel efficiency
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility)
- Preferred: Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including local market dynamics and provider networks within the territory
- Experience working with Hepatology centers
