Job Summary
Provide one-to-one therapeutic behavioral interventions for children at home, school, or community settings in accordance with the Treatment Plan. Deliver immediate behavioral reinforcement using Humboldt NeuroHealth's theoretical framework and the Wraparound model. Collaborate with the Child and Family Team to teach parents, caregivers, and natural supports functional skills for mitigating maladaptive behaviors. Maintain organized progress notes for each client contact and submit them by the weekly deadline. Participate in weekly staff meetings, case consultations, and supervision as assigned. Adhere to all Program policies, the Code of Conduct, legal/ethical requirements, and HIPAA regulations. Attend appropriate staff training programs and outside events as requested. Maintain a valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record and comply with travel policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (social work, sociology, child development, psychology, etc.)
- A minimum of one year related mental health experience working with children/adolescents who have severe emotional disturbance and/or behavioral challenges
- valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Proof of Insurance
- abide by Humboldt NeuroHealth Therapeutic Service's travel policy
- good working understanding of child and adolescent development, behavior management, and family dynamics
- aptitude to address severe emotional/behavioral challenges in a variety of settings
