Therapeutic Services Director

Job Summary
Directs development and expansion of psychosocial and therapeutic services in long-term care settings; designs scalable non-pharmacological care models incorporating psychotherapy, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Peer Support Specialists, neurofeedback, and engagement technologies; leads multidisciplinary teams across regions/facilities; oversees recruitment, training, and professional development; ensures alignment with regulatory standards and outcomes; pilots innovative engagement tools and workforce pipelines; focuses on resident engagement and quality-of-life improvements while integrating with clinical care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, healthcare administration, or a related field (required)
- Master’s degree in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or healthcare administration (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in behavioral health, psychosocial services, or healthcare program development
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, or post-acute care strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience leading clinical or therapeutic teams
- Proven experience building or scaling programs across multiple locations
- Strong operational mindset with experience building scalable service models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clinical, operational, and facility partners
- Deep understanding of psychosocial interventions and non-pharmacological behavioral health strategies
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral engagement techniques, and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment
