Job Summary
Provide therapeutic recreation services to inpatient rehab patients on a 29-bed unit; co-treat with PT/OT/SLP; lead community recreation outings with patients and a PT/OT; trained to drive and maintain the unit van; schedule and coordinate animal-assisted therapy and visits with the facility dog handler; collaborate with music therapist for events and activities; maintain department records and evaluation notes; ensure safe care and align with Memorial Hermann policies and standards; mentor less experienced staff and support department goals; deliver compassionate, personalized care and efficient experiences for patients and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, or related field
- Certification with the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation Certification
