Therapeutic Recreation Specialist-CTTP (5431)

Develop therapeutic recreation programs and interventions based on clinical assessments to promote learning, growth, and skill acquisition in gross motor, fine motor, socialization, cognitive, and community integration areas. Complete standardized assessments and profiles for all children within 30 days of admission, then develop individualized recreational plans with child input and measurable goals. Maintain data collection systems, complete monthly progress notes, and present findings at treatment planning meetings. Plan and post a monthly Recreation Calendar, assist with specialized adjunct therapies, and adjust schedules for community integration events requiring evening or weekend hours. Provide in-service training to Child Care Workers and new employees, coordinate equipment, and monitor budget expenditures.
