Job Summary
Direct the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the activities program for residents, including scheduling individual and group sessions and monitoring program responses to ensure they meet assessed needs. Conduct resident assessments, develop care plans, and implement these plans while reviewing and revising activities as necessary. Manage the activity program under broad supervision to support older adults moving through a continuum of care from residential living to skilled nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Recreation Therapy, or equivalent experience as required by the NCTRC Board to achieve certification
- B.S. in Art, Music or related therapy discipline
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
