Job Summary
Conduct structured, one-on-one, strengths-based support for youth to address mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs through social, recreational, athletic, artistic, educational, or daily-living skills interventions. Engage youth in therapeutic activities while maintaining contact with caregivers and collaterals to document progress and attend all care plan meetings. Collaborate with the HUB behavioral health provider to implement treatment goals and advocate for resources to meet emotional and mental health requirements. Complete necessary paperwork and data entry assignments in a timely manner. Fluently speak Spanish and hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years old
- valid driver license without restrictions
- reliable transportation
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human service field
- one year experience working with children/adolescents
- high school diploma/GED
- minimum of two (2) years' experience working with children/adolescents/transitional age youth
- fluent in Spanish
- ability to reason effectively and interpret a variety of instructions, written and oral
- excellent written/verbal communication skills
- willingness to learn about child/youth mental health issues
- vaccination for influenza and Covid-19
Desired Qualifications
- experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems
- experience advocating for family members who are involved with behavioral health systems
