Job Summary

Therapeutic Case Manager provides intensive case management for youth placed in Friends of Youth’s BRS foster homes, with a focus on neurodivergent youth and complex behavioral health needs. The role involves maintaining a caseload of 6–8 youth, building collaborative treatment plans with youth, families, DCYF, therapists, and caregivers, conducting weekly in-person visits, and providing DBT-informed coaching and psychoeducation. The position requires coordinating wraparound services, collaborating with licensed mental health professionals, supporting access to therapy and educational supports, and participating in family, team, and school meetings. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), DBT training preferred, and experience with trauma-informed care and neurodivergent youth. The job emphasizes culturally responsive practice, documentation and compliance per WAC/COA, on-call crisis support, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field preferred - or equivalent lived, professional, and/or academic experience
  • DBT training or certification highly preferred
  • Experience with neurodivergent youth, autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, executive functioning challenges
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Criminal history check
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test
  • First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens health certification within 30 days
  • Valid Washington State driver's license or ability to obtain one by date of employment
  • Safe driving record if operating Friends of Youth vehicles
  • Auto liability insurance as required by Friends of Youth
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and harm reduction
  • COA and WAC knowledge preferred
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Ability to engage diverse populations
