Job Summary
The Therapeutic Activities Assistant at the Drop-In Center supports mental health consumers in socializing and networking to combat isolation. Responsibilities include engaging members in activities, assisting with meal preparation, maintaining program cleanliness, participating in outings, ensuring safety, and completing program documentation. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position calls for strong organizational and leadership skills, the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and requires a valid driver’s license and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
- Customer service experience
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
- Knowledge of basic Office Equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice
- Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
- Valid Driver’s License (if out of state hire, the record report from applicable state’s driver license department is required)
- Act 33 Clearance with renewal
