Job Summary
Assist clinicians and team members with patient preparation, prepare and maintain operating suite equipment, and provide safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers. Contribute to the overall performance of the operating suite while ensuring quality service with a focus on patient care and safety. This role requires a rotating roster including AM, PM, twilight, and weekend shifts, with a salary package up to $15,900 pre-tax annually. Candidates must hold a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Specialising in Operating Theatre Technician) or above with at least six months of relevant experience. Opportunities are available at Epworth Eastern, Freemasons, and Richmond hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Cert III Theatre Technician qualification and above
- Minimum 6 months theatre technician experience following qualification
- Clear understanding and use of medical terminology
- Understanding of, and ability to set-up medical devices
- Ability to work a rotating roster (mix of AM, PM, twilight and weekend shifts)
- Annual Influenza vaccination
- Satisfactorily clear a National Police Check
- Valid employee Working with Children Check
