Job Summary
Deliver structured, high-quality Tier I instruction in theatre, covering acting technique, script analysis, improvisation, and stage production. Monitor student understanding, adjust lessons in real time, and differentiate activities to ensure all learners participate. Facilitate project-based creative learning experiences while maintaining equipment safety and enforcing stage procedures. Implement and monitor student IEPs, BIPs, and accommodations in collaboration with the special education team. Collaborate with grade-level teams, participate in PLCs and data meetings, and dedicate one afternoon weekly to after-school tutoring. Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress and maintain accurate administrative records. Work from mid-July through late May, Monday through Friday, with Mondays extending to 4:30 PM for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong command of Tier I instructional practices and evidence-based teaching strategies
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into instructional decisions
- Demonstrated ability across multiple theatre disciplines (e.g., acting, directing, script analysis, technical theatre/stagecraft)
- Experience facilitating project-based or creative learning experiences
- Ability to manage materials, productions, and classroom workflow effectively
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Theatre, Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Education, or related field
- Content area certification
- Demonstrated record of measurable student achievement and growth
