Job Summary
Theatre Maintenance Employees repair and maintain the theatre, equipment, and property, including tile, carpet floors, restroom fixtures, countertops, mirrors, walls, wall coverings, partitions, drinking fountains, minor plumbing and electrical work, office furniture, and auditorium seats. They coordinate with the General Manager on items to be repaired or maintained, supervise outside vendors when needed, ensure safety and security, and perform cleaning and organization of maintenance areas. The role requires using PPE, adapting to varying cleaning tasks, and reporting safety or security issues to management; it commonly occurs outside operating hours but may occur during operating hours and requires flexible availability across early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Provides excellent Guest service
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
- Ability to maneuver in limited-space areas (restroom stalls, auditorium seat rows, etc.)
- Ability to safely mix chemicals and dispose of used chemicals in compliance with state and local regulations
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must have reliable transportation to acquire parts and supplies
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods
