Job Summary
Front of House Coordinator responsible for supervising theatre operations during shifts when the Cultural Programmer or Box Office Volunteer Co-Ordinator is absent. Tasks include pre-show lobby setup, ticketing and concessions setup, coordinating with Box Office and staff, ensuring safety and compliance (fire exits, incident reporting), assisting with cash handling and event reconciliation, coordinating volunteers and staff, and ensuring all patrons and cast members exit safely after events. Requires post-secondary coursework or equivalent experience, cash handling skills, a valid Class G driver’s license, Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Smart Serve, Safe Management/Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certification, and Police Vulnerable Sector Check prior to start.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary courses (community college or university degree) in a directly related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with volunteers
- Solid knowledge of cash counting, handling and deposit procedures
- Class G Driver's License in good standing and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification required
- Possess or willing to obtain Smart Serve Certification
- Current Safe Management/Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certification or equivalent required
- Due to the nature of the contacts of this position a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town is required
- Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement
