Job Summary
Ensure patrons are treated courteously, professionally, and efficiently while maintaining theatre cleanliness and adhering to health, safety, and liquor control regulations. Provide welcoming service before, during, and after performances at the Algonquin Commons Theatre and support all Algonquin Students' Association operations. Perform duties such as ushering, coat checking, and merchandising while ensuring the safe keeping of guests. Work alongside theatre staff to satisfy customer expectations and build relationships that drive satisfaction. Maintain an organized environment where team members can respond to changing customer needs. Availability required for non-traditional shifts, focusing on evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a front of house or service industry setting.
- Excellent customer service skills & strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform while remaining on your feet for long periods of time.
- Availability to work non-traditional shifts, focusing on evenings and weekends
- Minimum 17 years of age.
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingualism (English & French) will be considered an asset.
- Smart Serve will be considered an asset
