Job Summary
Develop in-school and after-school educational programming for middle schools throughout Northwest Philadelphia while serving as the primary liaison between the Morris Arboretum & Gardens and the School District of Philadelphia. Manage the High School Internship Program and Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program, handling recruitment, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation alongside school administrators and community partners. Identify new school partnerships, represent the Arboretum at district meetings and workshops, and track participation to evaluate program outcomes for leadership. Work occasional evenings and weekends for educational events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Youth Development, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, and external partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Experience coordinating multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for educational and community events
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children, adolescents, youth leadership development, or educational programming
- Valid driver's license
