Job Summary
Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Collect payments. Also assists in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Ensure compliance with daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department; maintain food and beverage safety and quality per hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications; communicate with General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors and staff; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding
- High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
- ServSafe and/or food safety training
- Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS)
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele
