Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, confirm reservations, and escort patrons to tables while managing the host stand and entry area. Coordinate seating and table assignments to support service pacing, then communicate table status clearly with Servers, Captains, and Management. Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using SevenRooms, updating guest notes and responding to phone calls promptly. Ensure the host stand remains clean and organized, perform opening and closing duties, and attend required meetings and training. Report to the Restaurant General Manager and work closely with the Culinary Team and Restaurant Management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand written English
- Ability to speak English clearly and professionally
- Ability to remain composed and welcoming in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to move efficiently throughout a busy dining room
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Walking or standing to a significant degree
- Reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a refined, high-volume restaurant environment
- Prior experience using SevenRooms
- Prior experience as a Host/Hostess or restaurant greeter in a refined or high-volume environment
- CPR and/or First Aid certification
