Job Summary
Provide activities for kindergarten through 5th grade while keeping children safe, maintaining behavior standards, and completing disciplinary forms. Greet and monitor adults during pickup, assist with daily clean-up and closing, and provide first aid as needed. Complete routine paperwork and accident reports, and perform other duties assigned by the DEN Coordinator. Requires a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and flexibility for weekend or evening hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year paid or volunteer experience in working with school-age children
- High school diploma
- Ability to develop cooperative working relationships with coworkers and to relate well to all school-age children
- Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently and exerting a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects and perform activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may require occasional weekend and/or evening hours
- Valid driver's license in the state where he or she is based
- Appropriate auto insurance as required by law
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work assignments, and do well under pressure
- Willingness to demonstrate professionalism and integrity, take initiative, and exercise confidentiality
- Ability to understand and apply all school policies and procedures, follow instructions, be detailed oriented, and have good follow-through on all projects
