Curate, instruct, and manage digital and print resources as both teacher and librarian to support 21st-century literacy in a non-public, special education certified school serving girls with complex needs. Teach information literacy, manage media center resources, instruct on digital tools, and collaborate to integrate technology into the curriculum. Responsible for teaching students with significant emotional/behavioral needs in a clinical residential school setting and developing monitoring of student IEPs in accordance with Department of Education regulations. Works with the management team to ensure safety, stability, and professional guidance for students placed through DCYF. This is a full-time, year-round position. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching or Education and RI certification as Teacher of regular or special education; knowledge in media/arts/physical education/science/math/english/history; experience with children with behavioral/psychiatric challenges; strong IT and data-management skills; Spanish-speaking and bilingual/ASL skills are compensated; additional compensation for multilingual abilities and for candidates with a master’s degree. Must be able to travel to community locations, have reliable transportation, and meet physical requirements (lift up to 20 lbs) with de-escalation training (Handle with Care) as needed.
