Job Summary
Lineworker responsibilities include serving as a ground person for electric line construction and maintenance, preparing materials for higher level lineworkers, observing work activities around energized circuits for hazards, operating assigned equipment, working on dead or low voltage circuits, stocking line trucks with necessary supplies and equipment, trimming trees, and attending training sessions to prepare for advancement, plus other duties related to the construction, maintenance and extensions of electric lines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED)
- specialized training and/or experience in line work with verifiable training and experience in climbing
- valid Ohio driver’s license and a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or eligibility to obtain CDL
