Disassemble and reassemble large motors, pumps, and generators up to 12,000 HP; troubleshoot mechanical issues such as oil leaks and vibration; perform test runs on rebuilt motors to verify performance; read and interpret technical drawings; own tools (testing equipment provided); must be able to work overtime including weekends/holidays; undergo drug and background screening; 24/7/365 service environment in a Hampton Roads, VA facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors, pumps, and generators
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
- Must have own tools (testing equipment is provided by the company)
- Physically able to safely operate equipment and handle materials up to 50 pounds; capable of standing, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods
- Availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet customer requirements
