Job Summary
Fellowship program to found a workforce-development-focused charter school in Clayton County/Greater Atlanta. One-year intensive training with BES coaching, followed by three years of Follow On Support to hire founding staff, recruit students, develop a charter, and launch a high-performing school serving grades 6–12. Responsibilities include design leadership, governance, community engagement, data-driven instruction, staff coaching, and building partnerships. Compensation includes a contract role with an $110,000 grant for the training year; relocation assistance available; travel and design funding supported.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s or Professional degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience
- instructional or instructional leadership experience required
- At least 2 years managing and supervising adults in a PreK-12 setting required
- 2 years of school leadership experience preferred
- Commitment to serving as a school leader in the proposed community for at least 10 years
- Ability to establish and activate local connections to support school enrollment
- Strong preference for candidates with at least 2-3 years of experience living or working in the proposed school region
- Experience in career-connected learning and/or existing workforce partnerships preferred
