Job Summary
Thai Transcriber needed for on-site, project-based work in Glendale, CA. Responsibilities include listening to audio/video recordings and accurately transcribing spoken Thai into written text following client-specific conventions and formatting guidelines, proofreading transcripts, ensuring adherence to domain conventions, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting deadlines. Requirements include 40 WPM Thai typing, strong grammar and punctuation, ability to follow style guides, proficiency with Mac/PC, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace, and the ability to work on-site (no visa sponsorship provided). Hours range from 8 to 40 per week with a flexible schedule. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional linguistics/transcription training is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Thai (th_th)
- Typing speed of 40 WPM in Thai (th_th) or higher
- Ability to adapt to client-specific style guides and written domain conventions
- Strong listening skills and attention to punctuation, grammar, and spelling
- Experience with transcribing audio and video recordings accurately
- Proficiency with Mac and PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high productivity and quality
- Ability to handle confidential information and comply with privacy and security guidelines
- Authorization to work in the United States; no work sponsorship provided
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional linguistics/transcription training is a plus
- Capacity to work on-site in Glendale, CA
- Minimum age 18+
