Job Summary
Air Liquide TGCM Operations Technician 6 in Dallas, TX responsible for on-site safe, reliable, and cost-effective management of gas and chemical delivery equipment and systems 24/7. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining gas/chemical distribution equipment, conducting daily rounds, supporting bulk gas transfer, applying analytical problem-solving to optimize and repair delivery equipment, developing site-wide safety and quality procedures, mentoring TGCM contractors and junior technicians, coordinating hazardous work permits, and supporting Emergency Response Team activities while upholding HS&E standards. The role requires ability to lift 60 lbs, operate equipment, and adhere to safety protocols; preferred experience in semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas fields and a background in electro-mechanical tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or 5+ years related work experience
- 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
- Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements
- Self motivated to learn
- Electro-mechanical aptitude
- Able to understand and abide by stringent safety and quality rules
- Display aptitude for working in emergency/high stress situations and performing problem solving actions properly and safely
- Demonstrated ability to train junior technicians
