Job Summary
Sort textiles including soft goods, clothing, bedding, and linens by examining condition and prioritizing quality for the sales floor. Process items based on store criteria to minimize waste while salvaging high-value or unique pieces priced by management. Use a tagging gun to appropriately label all processed goods and maintain a safe, clean workstation following Kaizen standards and daily 5-minute cleanups. Track production numbers and record pieces processed to meet minimum productivity targets. Stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds frequently in a retail warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise. Weekend and evening work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to count, add, and subtract
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to follow all safety rules
- Must be able to operate a tagging gun
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Use of both hands
- Good manual and finger dexterity
- Ability to visually inspect and eliminate non-saleable donations
- Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all functions of the job
- Weekend and evening work required
