TexBuy Field Representative

Job Summary
TexBuy Field Representative responsible for growing TexBuy in Region 16 ESC territories by engaging school districts and vendors, attending eight to ten out-of-region tradeshows annually, coordinating events, generating leads, promoting TexBuy and AEPA, and increasing membership. Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, delivering tailored presentations, researching budgets and purchase plans, cultivating customer relations, coordinating vendor fairs and lunch-and-learns, visiting TexBuy members and vendors, maintaining records, meeting deadlines, and ensuring confidentiality. Must have strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills, excellent time management and organizational abilities, and be comfortable with frequent travel. Must possess a valid driver’s license, own transportation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional long hours and travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must be able to travel frequently
- Must have own transportation to travel short distances between ESC facilities as needed
- Valid state-issued driver's license required
- Proven work experience as a sales representative preferred
- Must possess outstanding sales, communication, and negotiation skills
- Must be highly motivated and target driven
- Must be able to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs
- Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgement in arriving at conclusions
- Must be able to work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
- Experience with event coordination and vendor relations is a plus
