Job Summary
The Life Coach is responsible for supporting adult learners in their academic, professional, and personal development, providing guidance and resources. Key responsibilities include leveraging a social work background to address learners' unique needs, implementing a Life Coach Model, offering on-site and virtual mental health support, mentoring, and facilitating connections to career pathways. The position requires building relationships, supporting individual goal-setting, monitoring performance, and collaborating with instructional staff. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or educational support roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits passion and excitement about working with students.
- Empathetic and patient with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology.
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Masters in social work, psychology, counseling, special education (preferred)
- Bilingual (preferred)
