Job Summary
Conduct regular meetings to understand and address adult learners' needs in academic, professional, and personal development. Provide on-site and virtual mental health support while leveraging a social work background to access community resources like childcare, housing, and food assistance. Mentor students to foster a supportive environment and guide them in setting individual goals within a blended learning setting. Collaborate with instructional staff and PATH counselors to align academic and workforce goals, connecting learners to career pathways and higher education. Document all interactions in a uniform manner and coordinate workshops with service providers. Act as a liaison between students and community resource providers, including home visits for those deviating from support plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field
- Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or educational support roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibits passion and excitement about working with students
- Empathetic and patient with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed
- Being authorized to work in the U.S.
