Job Summary
Professional Educator implements Monarch Integrated Mythology to strengthen relationship development with students, supports growth toward four core goals, collaborates with Therapy Services to align language and experiences, develops and implements student treatment plans, learns and applies curriculum models (DIR, cognitive coaching, social mapping, sensory integration, reflective teaching, problem based learning, academic focus), plans and delivers lessons addressing diverse learning styles, supports therapeutic agenda with Leadership Team, reports progress, supervises students during meals/carpool/off-campus activities, leads Student Committee if assigned, contributes to Monarch community through extracurricular activities, and participates in continuing professional education; requires Bachelor degree, state teaching certification, Special Education certification, and 3+ years of experience in special education teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree
- Valid Teaching Certification to meet state requirements
- Certification in Special Education
- Certification in grade-appropriate (e.g., 6-12) secondary Math
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Teacher with sufficient time spent in the teaching of special education (preferred)
