Job Summary
Texas A&M University’s College of Nursing seeks one full-time tenure-track/tenured faculty member to teach in the undergraduate program in Bryan, TX. The position offers potential summer contract and begins August 2026 or sooner, with titles of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor depending on experience. Responsibilities include preparing and revising course materials and exams, developing new courses to meet curriculum and accreditation standards, teaching in classroom/clinical/online environments, selecting and managing quality clinical learning experiences, providing competent clinical supervision, evaluating student performance, advising and mentoring students, maintaining office hours, collaborating with and mentoring faculty peers, maintaining clinical currency and relevant certifications, and participating in research, scholarship, and service activities. The role requires demonstrated ability to teach academic nursing across settings (face-to-face, online, or clinical) at the baccalaureate or higher level, strong writing/public speaking/presentation skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate on interprofessional teams. Applicants must have earned a PhD in nursing or a related field with a graduate degree in nursing, be eligible for Texas RN and/or APRN licensure, and be eligible for tenure consideration at the stated ranks. The appointment is a 9-month term with possible summer continuation, located in Bryan, Texas (Bryan-College Station metro area). Applicants should also complete the application via Texas A&M HR.
Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD degree in nursing or in a related field with at least one graduate degree in nursing is required
- Post-doctoral education preferred
- Experience teaching at the BSN or graduate nursing level is required
- Candidates must be qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank, and eligible for tenure consideration at Texas A&M University depending on rank
- Texas RN and/or APRN license eligibility depending upon credentials
