Job Summary
Texas A&M University College of Nursing seeks faculty for a full-time, 9-month appointment focused on aerospace nursing and extreme environments. The role supports research, teaching, and mentoring with potential titles of Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, or Research Professor depending on experience. Responsibilities include providing scientific direction for research studies, developing original proposals as co-investigator or principal investigator, securing grant salary support, supervising research personnel, planning and executing studies, conducting advanced statistical analysis, preparing manuscripts for publication, presenting at conferences, collaborating on interdisciplinary projects, and expanding the college’s research portfolio through scholarship and outreach. Candidates should have a PhD in nursing or a related field (with at least one graduate degree in nursing), eligible Texas RN/APRN licensure, strong research methodology and statistics background, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications relevant to aerospace nursing and extreme environments. Teaching experience at undergraduate or higher levels and strong writing, public speaking, and collaboration skills are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD degree in nursing or a related field with at least one graduate degree in nursing
- Eligible for a Texas RN and/or APRN license depending upon credentials
- Experience in research methodology, advanced statistical coursework, and professional peer-reviewed publications as lead author or co-author in the areas aerospace nursing, extreme environments, and policy implications
- Research experience related to conducting and disseminating nursing research primarily focused on aerospace nursing and extreme environments
- Experience with complex, multivariate data analysis, literature synthesis, and ability to write scientific articles and report findings commensurate with a doctoral degree
