Job Summary
Inspect and test returned audio equipment for defects, perform minor repairs, and calibrate testing instruments. Verify inventory for fast tracking, clean items for photography, and communicate pass/fail results via NetSuite to purchasing. Support warehouse operations by receiving orders, fulfilling shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy through regular counts and physical inventories. Operate Crown WAV order pickers and adhere to safety procedures for hazardous materials and electrical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with all recording equipment and signal flow (microphones, pres, EQs, DAWs, etc.)
- Familiarity with operating classic 1970s transistor based designs along with IC and tube units
- Familiarity with computer (PC and Mac) and typing skills
- Knowledge of Inventory, Database, Order processing, and Internet software
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
