Job Summary
The Tester performs testing and troubleshooting during the final assembly phase of electrical control and distribution equipment prior to customer delivery, ensuring product quality and compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing and testing low/medium/arc-resistant switchgear using tools such as multimeters, verifying HIPOT tests on copper bus, documenting results, basic device programming, and conducting Factory Acceptance Tests under senior supervision to demonstrate functionality and interfacing capabilities with clients’ equipment. Works with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve issues before shipment, and assists with design verifications and reliability demonstrations during customer witness tests. Strong emphasis on quality, attention to procedures, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. 2+ years of related experience and a safety-conscious, customer-oriented mindset are valued.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in wiring and assembling electrical control and distribution equipment
- Working knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures as applied to electrical design and production
- Knowledge of reading technical procedures, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
