Job Summary

As Tester in Charge, you will lead testing and commissioning of signalling projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to design and budget. You will produce Signalling Test & Commission documentation, testing methodology, and charts for approval; prepare testing and commissioning plans; manage resources and coordinate with project management and construction to complete site works prior to testing; identify and implement corrective actions for safety, cost, time, quality, procurement, and human-resources issues; and contribute to continual improvement in quality, safety, and environmental objectives. You should have an engineering degree (or equivalent), an IRSE license, and extensive experience in railway signalling testing and commissioning, with strong leadership and communication abilities and willingness to travel. The role is based in Perth, Western Australia, with work involving local, interstate, and FIFO assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • IRSE License
  • Experience in Railway Signalling Testing & Commissioning of Projects
  • Statement of competencies showing technical experience executing testing and commissioning with major Rail operators
  • Considerable experience as a Functional Tester or Tester in Charge within the Rail Industry
  • Good personnel management and communication skills
  • Prepared to travel regularly
