Job Summary
Test remanufactured steering gears and perform evaluation tests on warranty claims while troubleshooting and analyzing customer issues. Execute point tests on test stands for all models, pretest warranties, diagnose problems, and repair units before communicating technical data to quality control departments. Adhere to safety procedures and 5S standards during daily duties, including inputting data entry transactions and maintaining a clean workstation. This 8-hour day shift role runs Monday through Friday, requiring one year of production experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One Year Experience in production/manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret and comprehend plans and/or blueprints
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
- Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
