Job Summary
Test, diagnose, rework, and verify PSU sub-component and final electronic products of moderate to high complexity using drawings, schematics, and procedures. Record failure data in databases, document repair changes with Test engineers, and recommend corrective actions. Evaluate results, suggest design and efficiency improvements to test setups, and prepare detailed reports on evaluation methods and equipment. Support assembly of test stations and engage in process improvement teams. Requires tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, 2–3 years of electronics test and troubleshooting experience, ability to work with minimal supervision, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a test technician in a similar Electronics company
- Electronics test, troubleshooting, and repair experience
- Experience testing and diagnosing electronic products, power supplies and related products
- Ability to work from electrical schematics, change notices, and use standard electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to make common mechanical connections associated with power supply testing
- Good communication skills with profiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Knowledgeable on Windows applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
