Job Summary
Interpret technical specifications, accurately prepare and set up test articles and fixtures, and evaluate performance using measurements and sensors. Document detailed test procedures, communicate with supervisors and customers, and organize tasks to meet deadlines. Monitor and maintain test equipment while collaborating with other facilities to improve operating practices. This hands-on role in crash or general safety labs requires extended hours and heavy lifting. An associate degree in automotive or engineering is required, along with experience with hand tools, metalworking, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in an automotive or engineering-related field
- General understanding of automotive parts and mechanics
- Experience with basic hand and power tools and/or basic metalworking
- Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
