Job Summary
Own all aspects of test equipment implementation and operation; fabricate, assemble, operate and maintain test equipment; perform testing operations on pressurization and propellant systems; operate fluid and mechanical systems; maintain tools, service shop equipment, and stock consumables; provide direct test support for rocket engine testing; perform Pneumatic and Hydro Proof testing; support the shop to maintain a clean, 5S-regulated environment; read and interpret schematics, drawings, and P&ID’s; build and maintain test facilities including propellant, high pressure, cryogenic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; disassemble and precision clean valves and regulators; troubleshoot test stand equipment; work with engineers to build rocket motors and test articles; operate precision calibration tools and heavy equipment; ITAR-compliant and eligible to work in the U.S.; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of professional experience in aerospace or other relevant operations or test environment
- Experience with the safe operation of pressure, electrical, power and data acquisition systems
- Proficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools)
- Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from basic technical requirements
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to ever changing situations
- Capable of working in team and or solo environment
- Comfortable working outdoors year round
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years aerospace or relevant operations or test environment experience
