Job Summary
Test Technician I performs medium-to-high complexity PCBAs and assemblies tests (FPT, ICT, FCT), sets up test fixtures/environments, calibrates equipment as needed, troubleshoots at the component level, maintains records, trains junior team members, and adheres to safety protocols. Requires basic electronics knowledge, ability to read schematics, proficiency with electronic test equipment, and strong attention to detail; role is not remote and centers on hands-on testing in an EMS environment with opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- Understanding of electronic components and circuits
- IPC-600, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools
