Job Summary
Teledyne Qioptiq is seeking a Test Technician to conduct repetitive electrical voltage tests for high-volume product lines using controlled, calibrated test equipment. Responsibilities include determining test setups, troubleshooting issues, capturing and compiling data, and performing tasks according to schedules. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of electronics and computers, be detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to changing environments. Skills in using electronic test equipment are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specialized training beyond high school usually acquired with 6-24 months of industrial experience
- Attention to fine details
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attentiveness
- Ability to handle and manipulate small parts with hands and tweezers under microscopes
- Basic mathematical skills, specifically can read and interpret graphs
- Ability to follow controlled procedures and instructions (written and verbal)
- Basic knowledge of computers and electronics
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory (Ohm's law, electrical formulas)
- Practical working knowledge of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, curve-tracers, power supplies, and pulse/signal generators
